Day #1 - Picked up our "SUV" tin car.... 5 people packed in here with all our luggage - not comfortable. Then we were on the bumpy, narrow road to Monteverde.
Here's the first little hostel we stayed at.... I'll just say we got what we paid for... a corrugated tin roof that created a "wind tunnel" effect in our room at night, no hot water and questionably clean linens.
We took a tour through the forest and saw the famous "Quetzal" bird - male & female. Our tour guide was so excited that he was shaking and kept telling us we didn't know how lucky we were.
Walked through the forest on various suspension bridges and paths. Then we went on the canopy tour - the zip line... pictures to come.

What a pretty place! So did you get a picture of the rare birds? Swapps just got back from there and Jayne says she would go again.
